Plaxico Burress will serve probation after pleading guilty to tax evasion charges Monday, per Isaac Avilucea of the Trentonian.
According to the report, the former NFL wide receiver neglected to pay $47,903 in New Jersey state taxes. Burress signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the 2013 season that paid him a base salary of $940,000 with a $65,000 signing bonus.
He offered a brief comment as he exited the Mercer County criminal court, telling reporters to "have a good day," per Avilucea.
