Patriots Lose Solder For Season

A big key to New England's 4-0 start this season has been an offensive line that leads the league in both adjusted line yards and stuff rate, but that line has now taken a big hit. Jim McBride of the Boston Globe reports that starting left tackle Nate Solder will soon be undergoing surgery to repair a torn right biceps, a surgery that will end his season.

Dan Hanzus of NFL.com suggests that Marcus Cannon will likely take Solder's spot in the starting lineup. Cannon hasn't started a game this season, but he has played 142 snaps as the Patriots have experimented with various offensive line combinations.
