Patriots hold moment of silence for fan killed in West Bank

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots observed a moment of silence for an 18-year-old fan who was killed in the West Bank while studying in Israel.

Ezra Schwartz, of nearby Sharon, was among three people killed on Thursday. The Israeli military said a Palestinian motorist intentionally rammed his vehicle into a group of pedestrians.

According to The Jerusalem Post, a member of the Israeli parliament wrote Patriots owner Robert Kraft asking the team to do something in Schwartz's memory. The newspaper quoted lawmaker Dov Lipman as saying Schwartz was buried with an Israeli flag and a Patriots jersey.
