Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Michael Oher has been cited for assaulting an Uber driver in Nashville, Tennessee
The incident was reported on April 14 and Oher has been ordered to appear in court on May 8 for the misdemeanor assault.
Oher, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, is best known as the subject of the 2009 Hollywood movie "The Blind Side.''
"We are aware an incident occurred involving Michael,'' team spokesman Steven Drummond said.
