A week of OTA sessions has come and gone for the Panthers without up-and-coming wideout Kelvin Benjamin. And it’s still not known when he’ll return from a hamstring injury.
“It’s up to the trainers,” Benjamin said recently, via the team’s official website. “Right now they’re just taking their time with it.”
“Kelvin tweaked it a couple of weeks ago. Coming out of a break, he slipped a little bit on the wet turf and strained it,” coach Ron Rivera said. “We’re being a little bit cautious, but the unintended consequence that’s been a plus has been getting [rookie] Devin [Funchess] snaps.
