Packers, Bears and Some Fans Link Arms as Anthem Demonstrations Continue

In a twist on last week’s national anthem demonstrations, the Green Bay Packers locked arms during the playing of the song, and asked that the team’s fans lock arms as well, before their game against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night.

The players, coaches and trainers, all in white, stood somberly on the sideline during the country music star Tyler Farr’s rendition of the song, and while the CBS broadcast did focus on some fans following through on the team’s request to link arms, far more of the visible fans were seen with their hands over their hearts.
