In a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX, the Seattle Seahawks had a 2nd-and-goal play early in the second quarter against the New England Patriots and they tempted fate by throwing right at Malcolm Butler, the cornerback whose goal-line interception had been the deciding factor in that hard-fought championship.
This time Butler was a step slow and Russell Wilson’s pass found its way into Doug Baldwin’s hands for a 6-yard touchdown. A second touchdown to Baldwin gave Seattle a lead at halftime, but early in the fourth quarter, the Patriots have come back to lead 24-22.
