Despite Christmas Day taking place on a Wednesday in 2024, the NFL reportedly plans to have Christmas Day games during the upcoming season.
According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the huge ratings drawn by Christmas Day games have prompted the NFL to reverse its previous stance. The Wall Street Journal's Andrew Beaton first reported the news on Tuesday.
Last year, NFL Vice President of Media Distribution Hans Schroeder told Beaton (h/t ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio) that the league would not schedule Christmas Day games in years when Christmas falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
