The Green Bay Packers met with running back Aaron Jones' agent at the NFL Scouting Combine this week to discuss a possible pay cut for Jones in the final year of his contract, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein.
According to Silverstein, the two sides are looking to find a number that would lower his salary cup number and match what Jones believes he could earn in free agency.
If they can't reach an agreement in the next two weeks, the Packers could release Jones and he would have the opportunity to weigh his options in free agency, per Silverstein.
