N.F.L. Roundup: Broncos’ Anderson Is Said to Sign Dolphins’ Offer Sheet

Now that C. J. Anderson is a Super Bowl-winning running back, the Miami Dolphins want to give him the ball.

A restricted free agent, Anderson signed a four-year, $18 million offer sheet Thursday with the Dolphins, according to multiple news media reports.

Anderson rushed for 720 yards last year for the N.F.L. champion Denver Broncos, who have five days to match the offer. They are considered unlikely to do so.

The Dolphins’ new coach, Adam Gase, needs a replacement for running back Lamar Miller, who signed a free agent deal with Houston.
