NFL Fines Chiefs' Bolton for Tackle on 49ers QB Purdy; Only Super Bowl Player Fined

The NFL fined Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton $8,238 for a horse-collar tackle on San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy in Super Bowl LVIII.

Bolton was flagged in the second quarter when he grabbed the back of Purdy's collar. He did not tackle him using the back of his jersey but nevertheless was hit with 15-yard infraction and fined by the NFL.

Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who was also flagged for unnecessary roughness during the Super Bowl, was not fined.
