NFL Draft Rumors: Giants Showing 'Strong' Interest in QB Amid Maye, McCarthy Links

The New York Giants are "showing strong interest at the QB position" ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini.

"Either (1) They want to draft a quarterback, or (2) They want teams to think they need to trade with the Giants if they want one," Russini reported.

The report noted the Giants have met with Washington's Michael Penix Jr. and staged workouts with North Carolina's Drake Maye and Michigan's J.J. McCarthy.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero in March he still views Daniel Jones as the starter once he fully recovers from his torn ACL.
