N.F.C. Championship Live Updates: Eagles Beat 49ers, 31-7, to Claim Spot in the Super Bowl

The Eagles took a 28-7 lead near the end of the third quarter of the N.F.C. championship game, as the 49ers’ frustrations continued to mount.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts capped the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run on a quarterback sneak, a play call that has proved to be both predictable and nearly unstoppable for the Eagles. It was Hurts’s 15th rushing touchdown, including the regular season, and completed a drive in which he ran on seven plays.

The 15-play, 91-yard drive was the Eagles’ longest of the game. It was extended by a 49ers penalty for roughing punter Brett Kern at midfield, which gave the Eagles a first down.
