Missouri Man Charged with Stealing $46K Worth of Equipment from Dolphins in January

A man from Kansas City, Missouri, has been charged after allegedly stealing more than $46,000 worth of equipment from the Miami Dolphins, according to Brian Dulle of Fox 4 Kansas City.

Joseph Brown Sr. has received a class C felony charge of stealing in connection to the Jan. 14 incident, per Dulle.

According to court documents obtained by Dulle, police offers responded after a representative of the Dolphins said that a box truck containing team equipment was broken into and items were stolen.

The items stolen were valued at $46,376. Among the items stolen, per court documents, were:

  • Five Pelican cases with media equipment
  • Four large aqua-colored equipment cases
  • Three large equipment cases
  • Football pads
  • Gloves
  • Shoes
  • Cold weather gear
  • Hockey bags with "cape" coats inside
  • Game film

Detectives reviewed surveillance video of the alleged theft and were able to identify a vehicle that matched Brown's gray Ford-150.
