Mike Shanahan on head coaching future: 'It would be a lot smarter to take Kyle than me'

Former Washington coach Mike Shanahan affirmed on 'The Herd' on Wednesday that he is not looking for a head coaching position, but hinted at interest at a possible executive type role for a future team.

Kyle Shanahan, his son and the offensive coordinator of the Falcons, continues to be a hot commodity for a future head coaching job in the coming weeks. The Way We Hear It, the 37-year-old is already a frontrunner for the Rams opening at season's end. At 64, Shanahan told Colin Cowherd, "It would be a lot smarter to take Kyle than me," regarding the head coaching position.
