Michael Irvin Denies Wrongdoing amid Criminal Police Investigation in Texas

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin was accused of misconduct in Texas but denied the allegations.

TMZ Sports reported a spokesperson for the Allen Police Department confirmed there is an ongoing investigation but did not release any details.

Yet Irvin's lawyer, Levi McCathern, told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk the former player "vehemently denies" the allegations and "didn't do anything wrong or inappropriate."

McCathern said the allegation "will turn out to be much ado about nothing" and "saddens me" because there is "absolutely no truth" to it.

TMZ and Florio both noted Irvin faced an allegation of misconduct from a Marriott employee last year that did not lead to a criminal investigation even though he was suspended by NFL Network and ESPN.
