Matt Flynn to Jets: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Geno Smith's jaw injury left the New York Jets thin at quarterback, so the team turned to the free-agent market to address its lack of depth under center.

On Wednesday, the Jets announced they signed quarterback Matt Flynn, according to the team's official website.

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported Flynn was headed to the Jets on Tuesday evening. The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta added that he would be inked to a one-year deal.

The signing comes after Flynn reportedly worked out for the Jets on Aug.
