Los Angeles Rams place DE Robert Quinn and RB Benny Cunningham on injured reserve

Ahead of the franchise's first game under interim head coach John Fassel following the dismissal of Jeff Fisher, the Rams have placed defensive end Robert Quinn and running back Benny Cunningham on injured reserve, the club announced on Thursday.

Quinn, a two-time Pro Bowler, appeared in nine games over eight starts, but hasn't played since Week 12 due to a concussion. The 26-year-old will finish the season with 10 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles.

Quinn was earlier hospitalized briefly in November for a non football-related illness, but was quickly discharged.

Cunningham, 26, will finish with 21 carries for 101 yards on the season.
