Lack of Edge Rushers Could Bite Chiefs and Chargers

Biggest Need: Quarterback

For all any of us know, Aaron Rodgers could be wearing a Broncos uniform by the time the season rolls around. That probably will not be a reality until after June 1, though, due to how Rodgers' cap hits can be divided up after that point. The Packers would have to eat $38 million in dead cap if Rodgers were to be released or traded before June 1, but that number falls to $21 million if released or traded afterwards, with the remaining $17 million getting pushed to the 2022 cap.
