Kirk Cousins trying to prove he can play, while competing for backup role

They’ve tried to make it clear this offseason in Washington that Robert Griffith III is the starting quarterback.

But Kirk Cousins is doing everything in his power to make it more complicated, even though he’s now competing for the backup job.

“I think it’s just my job to put my head down, keep working and give them reason to play me,” Cousins said, via Liz Clarke of the Washington Post.
