John Reaves, Quarterback Who Set Passing Mark at Florida, Dies at 67

John Reaves, a University of Florida and N.F.L. quarterback who finished his college career as the N.C.A.A.’s career passing leader at the time, was found dead on Tuesday at his home in Tampa, Fla. He was 67.

The Hillsborough County medical examiner’s office said the cause was being investigated.

Reaves struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for most of his career as an N.F.L. journeyman, a run that began as a first-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1972.

He also played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1975 to 1978, the Minnesota Vikings from 1979 to 1980, the Houston Oilers in 1981 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the N.
