John David Crow dies at 79

Former Heisman Trophy winner and four-time NFL Pro Bowl running back John David Crow has died at the age of 79.

Texas A&M, Crow’s alma mater, announced that Crow died on Wednesday night. No cause of death has been reported.

Crow won the Heisman in 1957 while playing for Bear Bryant, who said before the award was handed out that “they ought to stop giving it” if Crow wasn’t voted the winner.
