Joey Bosa Placed On IR With Groin Injury

NFL Week 3 - The Los Angeles Chargers are down yet another player, as defensive end Joey Bosa is set to undergo surgery for an injured groin. Chargers head coach Brandon Staley broke the news to reporters Wednesday, adding that Bosa will be placed on injured reserve.

Bosa suffered the injury during the team's 38-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. While originally considered "week to week" by coaching staff, Bosa's surgery is now set to bar him from play the next four weeks. Staley expects Bosa to return to the team sometime later this season.
