With just one punch, the New York Jets were in sudden need of help at quarterback. Their solution to that problem appears to be veteran free agent quarterback Matt Flynn.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jets have agreed to sign Flynn to a one-year deal.
Flynn was released by the New England Patriots recently after failing to pass a physical with the team. Flynn has also played for the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks during his seven years in the league.
Flynn became a necessity for the Jets after linebacker IK Enemkpali broke the jaw of Geno Smith during a locker room fight last week.
