Coach Adam Gase said the Jets would rethink whether they would continue to allow players to wear a microphone during N.F.L. games after a comment from quarterback Sam Darnold about “seeing ghosts” was aired during the ESPN broadcast on Monday night.

Darnold, who was mic’d during the Jets’ 33-0 loss to the New England Patriots, was recorded saying, “I’m seeing ghosts,” as he sat on the bench in the first half. The comment came as Darnold faced pressure from the Patriots’ defense, which led to his throwing two interceptions in the half. He finished with 86 total passing yards, four interceptions and one lost fumble.
