Jets not happy about Geno Smith throwing at home

The Jets don’t seem pleased that broken-jawed quarterback Geno Smith was doing some shirtless throwing at home, two days after surgery to repair said broken jaw.

And it doesn’t seem that him wearing a shirt would have made them any happier.

He shouldn’t be doing it right now,” Jets coach Todd Bowles said, via Dom Cosentino of NJ.com. “We handled that internally. We had that discussion.”

Bowles said Smith would not be disciplined for working outside the realm of the doctor’s (i.e. their) orders, which makes sense, since fining him for throwing a football would have been crazy.
