New York Jets head coach Tood Bowles said the team will start Bryce Petty at quarterback for the final four games of the season.
The Jets were routed on Monday night 41–10 by the Indianapolis Colts, a game in which Jets starter Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched after completing 5 of 12 for 81 yards with one interception.
Petty finished 11 of 25 for 135 yards with a touchdown and was intercepted twice.
"I thought they kicked our asses," Bowles said. "It's very troubling when you get your ass kicked. The plan was to start him the last four games, anyway," Bowles said.
