Jeff Fisher on no minicamp: It’s not a big difference from OTAs

In 2012, Rams coach Jeff Fisher bemoaned the rules in the CBA that barred most contact between players and coaches before the start of offseason workouts because he felt that they did a disservice to the effort of developing players.

Fisher’s desire to develop players doesn’t extend to wanting a chance to work with veterans during a three-day minicamp, however. The Rams are again the only team in the league to pass up on their right to hold such a mandatory minicamp during the offseason and they will wrap up their offseason program with a final OTA on June 18 instead.
