Goodell will spend time with Republicans in Congress

More than 40 years ago, Vice President Spiro T. Agnew accused Senator Charles Goodell of abandoning the Republican party. Goodell’s son will soon be rubbing elbows with plenty of them.

Via Politico.com, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will spend time with Republican members of the House of Representatives this week, including events with Rep. Steve Scalise’s majority whip team and a “Power House Lunch” during which Goodell will share “leadership lessons” with more than 40 Congressional Republicans. He’ll also meet with a group of chiefs of staff for Republican members of the House.
