Fresh start: Chicago Bears begin camp with no players on PUP list

No players will begin Matt Nagy's first Bears training camp on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list, GM Ryan Pace confirmed in his camp-opening news conference Thursday.

That's great news for one of the NFL's most injury-riddled teams over the past two seasons and several key Bears, in particular: new No. 1 WR Allen Robinson, who missed all but three snaps of the 2017 campaign with the a torn ACL before signing a three-year, $42 million contract ($25 million guaranteed) to leave Jacksonville in March; Kyle Long, the former Pro Bowl right guard who has been limited to 18 games over the past two seasons and underwent three separate surgeries (neck, shoulder and elbow) this offseason; and top pass rusher Leonard Floyd, another former first-rounder felled by injuries, who had arthroscopic knee surgery last November.
