The Jaguars took care of linebacker Dante Fowler Jr., the third overall pick in the draft who tore an ACL less than an hour into his first NFL minicamp practice. As it turns out, they took very good care of him.
Per a league source, Fowler’s fully-guaranteed $23.5 million contract has no offset language. So if he gets cut at some point in the next four seasons, he gets all of the money, unreduced by any amounts he earns with a new team. Quarterback Jameis Winston, the first overall pick, has offset language in his deal.
