Ezekiel Elliott Rumors: Cowboys 'Still Like How' RB Runs the Ball amid Contract Buzz

A potential reunion between veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys remains on the table, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

"There's nothing imminent but they know where each other stands and there is some mutual interest here," Fowler reported Sunday on SportsCenter. "So, after eight years in the league, seven with Dallas, one with New England, the Cowboys still like how Elliott's running the ball."

Referencing Elliott's workload, Fowler added "this isn't going to be a situation where he's getting 250 carries like he used to."

The Cowboys lost leading rusher Tony Pollard to free agency and haven't done anything to augment their backfield after his departure.
