Cowboys' Stephen Jones: Team Will Let Leighton Vander Esch Speak to Playing Future

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch managed to play in just five games last season after suffering a neck injury in November, and now his future in the NFL seems uncertain.

Vander Esch has dealt with a multitude of neck injuries throughout his career, dating back to his time at Boise State. The latest could be enough for him to face an early retirement. Per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Clarence E. Hill Jr. (h/t Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper), Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones is letting Vander Esch speak on what his next move will be.
