Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III finally cleared for contact, but status after bye still being determined

The Browns have officially cleared quarterback Robert Griffin III for contact in practice, but his status moving forward following the bye is still being determined.

The Browns' group of quarterbacks includes Josh McCown, Cody Kessler, Kevin Hogan and Griffin, and one will start Dec. 11 against the Bengals. While Griffin still officially needs to be activated off injured reserve, that'll likely happen next week.

Griffin issued a statement through the public relations staff, via cleveland.com.
