LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was pleased with the outcome of this week’s presidential election, he said following practice Thursday.
“I’m happy with the results,” he said. “I’ve supported [Donald] Trump for a while. I'm not going to dive into it, I know it's a sensitive issue, but I like where it's going.”
Cutler is one of the more notable NFL players to publicly voice support the president-elect. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who has discussed his friendship with Trump in the past and has had Trump’s hat in his locker, did not discuss the election this week with reporters in New England.
