But 2021 has been a bad year for the presumed best quarterbacks. Deshaun Watson has had his legal troubles. Russell Wilson broke a finger. Kyler Murray sprained his ankle. Patrick Mahomes may have lost his superpowers. Aaron Rodgers may have lied about his vaccination status. And now Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow fell victims to the widespread Week 9 upsets.
I wouldn't expect too much predictiveness in those latter results, but it has become more important than ever to consider the matchups at quarterback.
