Cardinals' defense flexes muscle with two TDs in blowout of Packers

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals are, without a doubt, an offensive team.

They have an MVP candidate at quarterback, a future Hall of Famer at wide receiver and one of the game’s best offensive minds at head coach.

But on Sunday, in what the Cardinals billed as a playoff preview all week, they showed they’re also a defensive team with a 38-8 win over Green Bay that clinched at least the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye.

And that mix – a dangerous one – might be what puts Arizona on a direct route for Santa Clara, California the first Sunday of February.
