Bucs sign second-round pick Donovan Smith

The Buccaneers kicked off the week by moving a step closer to getting their entire draft class under contract.

Second-round tackle Donovan Smith is the latest member of the group to agree to a four-year deal with the team and the announcement of his signing leaves only second-round guard Ali Marpet without a contract.

The two offensive linemen followed the selection of quarterback Jameis Winston with the first overall pick and signal the team’s desire to build a more formidable offense after putting up dismal efforts on that side of the ball last season.
