A quiet Super Bowl week thus far from the Denver Broncos took a surprising turn Tuesday night when the team decided to send home safety Ryan Murphy after he was questioned in a prostitution sting.
Sgt. James Jensen of the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office confirmed to NFL Media that Ryan Murphy was briefly detained and questioned by deputies Tuesday. Murphy was released after deputies determined he was not involved with the prostitution investigation, Jensen said.
Deputies determined Murphy's brother was connected to the sting, and he was cited and released, Jensen said.
