Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith will try to recover from devastating injuries to make long NFL careers.
Heading into the 2016 NFL Draft, some of the biggest questions surrounded the health of linebackers Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith. Both guys were dominant college players who combined elite athleticism with a hard-nosed, old-school football mentality. If it wasn’t for a pair of debilitating knee injuries, both of these players would have heard their names called in the first day of the draft.
Drafting talented players with an injury history has produced mixed results in recent drafts. The Rams struck gold with Todd Gurley at the beginning of the first round last year.
