Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was away from the team for the last 48 hours while attending to a family issue, but he’s now in Canton and ready for the Hall of Fame Game.
Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports that Bridgewater returned to the team this morning and is expected to start tonight against the Steelers.
The Vikings announced on Friday that Bregewater was away from the team because of a family matter. He was in Florida, but the reasons have not been reported.
Bridgewater will likely play sparingly, as starting quarterbacks almost always do in the preseason opener, but when he does play it will be significant as his first game action with new receiver Mike Wallace.
