Bob McNair Urged Players to End Anthem Protest During Colin Kaepernick Meeting

Houston Texans owner Bob McNair urged NFL players to stop kneeling during the national anthem during a summit meeting last year.

Per Ken Belson and Mark Leibovich of the New York Times, McNair's comments came last October as a group of nearly 30 owners, players and league executives discussed Colin Kaepernick not being signed to a team and President Donald Trump's criticism of the NFL and its players for kneeling during the national anthem.

"You fellas need to ask your compadres, 'Fellas, stop that other business, let's go out and do something that really produces positive results,' and we'll help you," McNair said.
