Terrelle Pryor’s NFL career isn’t over just yet.
Pryor, who didn’t play at all last season and was cut by the Chiefs last week, has signed with the Bengals.
The Bengals brought Pryor in on a tryout basis this weekend, and he apparently did enough to convince the team that he deserves a longer look. Andy Dalton is the unquestioned starter in Cincinnati, but Pryor will get a chance to compete with A.J. McCarron and Josh Johnson to be Dalton’s backup.
Pryor is a talented athlete, but he so far hasn’t proven that he can be an NFL-caliber passer.
