Bears leading rusher rookie David Montgomery is active against the Rams

LOS ANGELES — David Montgomery is active for the Bears against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday night after popping up on his first NFL injury report this week with an ankle injury he sustained Wednesday in practice.

Montgomery, the Bears' leading rusher and top pick, returned to practice in a limited fashion Friday prior to getting a jersey Sunday night.

There are no surprises among the Bears' inactives: Duke Shelley, Isaiah Irving, Danny Trevathan, Alex Bars, Abdullah Anderson, Adam Shaheen and Riley Ridley. Only the rookies Shelley, Bars and Ridley, in addition to Anderson, are healthy scratches, as they've been most of the season.
