AP Source: Bills' Dareus Agrees to 6-Year Contract Extension

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A person familiar with negotiations has told The Associated Press that Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus has agreed to a six-year contract extension.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity Thursday because the contract has not yet been signed by Dareus, a two-time Pro Bowl and one-time All-Pro selection.

Dareus is currently serving a one-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Because of the suspension covering Buffalo's season opener against Indianapolis on Sunday, Dareus is not allowed at the Bills facility until next week.

ESPN.com first reported the deal earlier in the day.
