NFL rumors are always swirling around quarterbacks because it is arguably the most important position on the team. The QB is the player who catches the blame for a team’s success or failure. The top NFL QBs are also the highest paid players in the league ahead of WRs, OTs and DEs. The NFL has transitioned from a rushing league to a passing league over the past decade. It has come to the point where having an above-average QB is almost required in order to make a deep playoff run.

There are a handful of superstar QBs in the NFL such as Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady & Drew Brees. There are the 2nd-tier QBs who have proven they can throw the ball & win big games, such as Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers and Big Ben. Then we have the middle-of-the-pack QBs such as Baker Mayfield, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott & Jared Goff, Jimmy Garoppolo who have proven they are starting-caliber NFL QBs, but have a lot left to prove before they can be included among the best.

Also, there are the up-and-coming QBs who have earned starting jobs, but haven’t shown anything to prove they are a top NFL QB such as Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston, Lamar Jackson, Sam Darnold, Dwayne Haskins & Kyler Murray. Finally, there are the bottom-tier QBs who are close to losing their starting job such as Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Josh Rosen & Andy Dalton.  Who do you think is the best QB in the NFL? Find out what Mitchell thinks on the latest edition of NFL Daily!
