The NFL landscape is buzzing with rumors and interviews, as several teams search for a new head coach. It's only a matter of time before the first team hires their new head man. Here's the latest from the coaching craziness around the NFL.

Dolphins And Gase
The Miami Dolphins are giving Adam Gase a second interview.
Miami has scheduled a 2nd interview with Adam Gase on Saturday, per source. He is only Dolphins candidate to be scheduled for 2nd interview.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 9, 2016
Nearly every team wants Gase it seems, and he'll have his choice of jobs.
Chargers Extend McCoy
Mike McCoy was on the hot seat this season, but managed to keep his job. He's also getting an extension.
Chargers GM Tom Telesco announces one-year extension for Mike McCoy. Contract now through 2017 season.— Michael Gehlken (@UTgehlken) January 8, 2016
The extension prevents McCoy from being a potential lame-duck coach.
Bucs Confirm Two Interviews
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are searching for a new head coach after their surprising move to fire head coach Lovie Smith. The team confirmed interviews this morning with Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott and Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin. McDermott has been linked to other jobs, but this is the first time Goodwin's name has popped up. Goodwin has been the offensive coordinator for Arizona since 2013. Interviewing him satisfies the Rooney Rule.
Gruden And Eagles?
This came about late last night, as the Philadelphia Daily News reported Jon Gruden had interest in the Eagles' job. However, Howard Eskin says there's no interest, as does Jason La Canfora.
This Jon Gruden interest in the Eagles stuff is ridiculous. Not happening and not discussed— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 8, 2016
La Canfora did not hold back, and it seems only the Daily News is reporting Gruden has any interest.
49ers Met With Kelly
The 49ers wanted Sean Payton, but he's staying in New Orleans. The 49ers are still searching and Chip Kelly is top target.
Kelly could be the perfect coach for Colin Kaepernick, but Blaine Gabbert would also fit well. DeFilippo is an intriguing name. He's just 37 years old and is in his first year as an OC. If it's an informational meeting, it might be the 49ers consider DeFilippo a possible coordinator candidate.
No Interviews For Josh McDaniels ... Yet
Josh McDaniels could be a head coach again in the near future, but he's not interviewing for any jobs.
Despite plenty of interest, #Patriots OC Josh McDaniels will not interview for head coaching jobs this weekend. Focused on the game— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 8, 2016
The Patriots are on a bye, so McDaniels can interview if he wants. But he's electing to focus on the game. As we get deeper into the coaching carousel, McDaniels might begin interviewing for jobs.Back to the NFL Newsfeed
