They are looking for their second Super Bowl title, while also looking to avenge their most recent appearance: a 20-17 loss to the Patriots in 2002. 

New England is trying to win their sixth in franchise history, and their third in five years. They are in the Super Bowl after beating the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
