Roddy White Just Made Things Worse After Ill-Advised Adrian Peterson Tweet

In case you missed it, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White found himself at the center of controversy on Friday night when he tweeted this out in response to Adrian Peterson's indictment on charges of child abuse:

White proceeded to delete the tweet before issuing this apology on his account: "I should not have made light of a very serious situation. I understand the strong feelings about this issue and I shouldn't have said that."

However, rather than leaving the damage at that, White deemed it necessary to issue this response to NBC's Pro Football Talk after they turned his ill-advised post into a story:

This isn't the first time White has caused some problems for himself on Twitter. He has drawn criticism for everything from calling the IOC "retards" for dropping wrestling back in February of last year to going off on a rhetorical, anti-gay tirade in 2012.

Stay classy, Roddy.
