The final day of the 2022 NFL Combine is in the books! NFL Combine Day 4 featured the defensive backs and there are some major Combine Winners and Losers to discuss. Much of the NFL news focuses on 3 impressive testers: Sauce Gardner, Tariq Woolen & Zyon McCollum. While Gardner is the only one going in Round 1, this year’s CB and safety class looks strong. Day 4 of the NFL Combine was all defensive backs. And as has been the case the entire week on an apparently fast track in Indianapolis, there were some absurd times. Baylor CB Kalon Barnes ALMOST broke John Ross’ record, while Tariq Woolen and Zyon McCollum put up some of the best weight-adjusted numbers for a corner ever. Sauce Gardner impressed as well, helping establish himself as CB1 over Derek Stingley.
We don’t really know much (yet) about the medical and interviews. But those are even more important than the athletic testing and drills for the NFL Draft.
